All ages
Walking through a Songline imagines the experience of being immersed in a Songline. Follow in the footsteps of the Seven Sisters as they travel through desert lands and across the sky, mapping Country for millennia to come in this multi-sensory digital installation.
Made from a union between geographic space, cultural storytelling, and identity, songlines are the many paths that cross Australia, as told by artists, custodians, and Traditional Owners. Experience Indigenous storytelling as this ancient narrative comes alive through new technology.
Entry to Walking through a Songline is included with museum admission. Admission to the museum is free for Annual Pass holders.
Don't forget to share your experience online with @cobbandcomuseum and @nationalmuseumofaustralia
Walking through a Songline is produced by the National Museum of Australia in partnership with Mosster Studio, with ongoing support of the traditional Aboriginal custodians and knowledge holders of this story.
