Sensory Friendly Session

Our Sensory Friendly Sessions create a supportive environment where people of all ages can spend quiet time, wander at their own pace, and engage in conversations with museum staff.

We’re turning the sound down and creating a relaxed, fun and supportive atmosphere that welcomes people on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges to experience the museum and the wonder of Dinosaurs of Patagonia and SparkLab. 

We will also have a chill out zone if some quiet space is required and earmuffs are available from the Cloakroom on Level 2, SparkLab and Dinosaurs of Patagonia exhibition entries.

• Entry is free to the museum’s permanent galleries, although bookings are essential to ensure visitors can comfortably explore the museum.
• Special exhibitions including SparkLab and Dinosaurs of Patagonia are paid entry and numbers are strictly limited. Your paid ticket includes access to the museum’s permanent galleries.
• Companion cards and children under 3 years old are free, however they must have a ticket.
• Morning session entry into SparkLab commences at 8:30am.

This is a COVID Safe event with limited capacity.
