About

Be a part of the story of Queensland.

Your investment in Queensland Museum is an investment in 160 years of excellence.

Our collections, research and exhibitions preserve and share stories of our natural and cultural heritage. From tracking ancient trade routes and changing environments across the continent and its seas to conservation of extinct and endangered species, Queensland Museum’s research and education experts make knowledge of the past and present accessible to Queensland’s communities.

Queensland Museum's partnerships are customised for each partner, offering bespoke models of collaboration to meet organisational priorities. A partnership with Queensland Museum has the potential to:

  • strengthen brand awareness
  • demonstrate corporate and industry leadership through active support of cultural and scientific initiatives across Queensland
  • motivate, inspire and reward your staff, clients and stakeholders with unique experiences that money can't buy.

Our dedicated team works closely with partners to develop opportunities that fulfill key business objectives, and most importantly, create and enhance social cohesiveness in communities. Our award-winning partnerships with BHP, Shell's QGC Project, Energy Queensland and Tourism and Events Queensland demonstrate our commitment to creating mutually beneficial, rewarding relationships.

Learning Resources

Developed with generous support from BHP Billiton Mitsui Coal (BMC) as part of the award-winning Megafauna in Queensland partnership, Finding Megafauna QM Loans kits feature replica megafauna fossils with comparative contemporary crocodile and kangaroo bones and tools used in paleontological and archaeological digs.

These items are complemented by profiles of Queensland Museum Network palaeontologists, BMC staff and Traditional Owners of the land, providing a real-life example of the collaborative nature of mining and the way scientific inquiry and analysis is used to identify fossils and understand the way our environment has changed over time.
