The Coach Stop Play Area
Recommended for children aged 3 - 10 years.
Drop into The Coach Stop Play Area where your little ones can indulge their imagination as they explore the stories of the museum through simple activities.
Designed especially for children, The Coach Stop is all about play and discovery.
Things to see and do:
- Dress up and pretend to ride a Cobb & Co. coach through the outback.
- Play in the Queensland Museum Cobb+Co General Store.
- Escape to Harry's Hideout and read a story book amongst the wildlife decorating the walls.
- Take a ride on our life-sized replica horse, "Socks."
- Open doors, guess the noises and put your hands through the holes in the discovery wall and see, feel and hear different objects, textures and sounds.
- Get creative with stencils and colouring in.
- Parents and grandparents can check out the display of old fashioned products and utensils.
Don't miss Little Cobbers, our regular program for under 6s, held in The Coach Stop Play Area every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:15am (except during school holidays).
