About the presenter

Lincoln Morse is the Assistant Collection Manager for the Archaeology collection at Queensland Museum.

Swiftly approaching his first decade in the industry, he began at the Queensland Museum in 2016 as a collections technical officer involved in large scale storage upgrades. From 2018 to 2022, Lincoln joined the Exhibitions team and since then has been involved in the construction, installation, and maintenance of over 20 permanent and temporary exhibitions. Parallel to his Exhibitions work, Lincoln also took on numerous projects with Conservation and Facilities, mainly dealing with storage maintenance, upgrades, and relocations – most notably, leading the ground team in the 2022 Wet Store Relocation. Lincoln joined the Cultures & Histories team as Assistant Collection Manager in 2023, beginning work on a very large and significant new collection of material from the Native Mounted Police Project, and auditing the museum’s Antiquities collection.

During his time at the Queensland Museum, Lincoln has also worked at the RD Milns Antiquities Museum at the University of Queensland (2015-17) and the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology (2015-22) in various collections management and technical roles with a focus on collection storage and rehousing.

Lincoln is an advocate for bringing the behind-the-scenes of the collections into public view and connecting with other institutions to share knowledge and experiences.
