Queensland is Australia's most biodiverse state. Inspire your P–10 students with engaging Biological Science activities outlined in this free, 60-minute  professional development webinar for teachers, home educators and GLAM sector staff. 

Queensland Museum's dedicated education team will demonstrate a range of curriculum-aligned resources and experiments, showcase fascinating collection items and chat to the Queensland Museum experts making incredible discoveries.

Our Wild State will cover:

  • Teaching animal features and needs using the ancient animals of Queensland
  • Queensland habitats and animal adaptations to ensure survival
  • Writing a scientific description of a Queensland insect
  • The specialised stinging cells of jellyfish and anemones from the Great Barrier Reef
  • The structure of DNA and the construction and interpretation of phylogenetic trees of Queensland's dung beetles
