Queensland Museum Cobb+Co provides a range of exhibitions, curriculum-linked programs and resources for all ages. Schools can experience the museum by booking either a self-led visit or a facilitated program with our Programming Officer.

Self-led visit
Booking a self-led visit to the museum offers a unique opportunity to experience the museum's current travelling and permanent exhibitions at your leisure.

Expand on students' understanding of classroom content through the self-led exploration of objects and exhibitions showcasing Queensland Museum's unique collections and research.

What's on

Facilitated programs
Facilitated school programs provide a deeper exploration and investigation of museum objects and exhibitions linked to the Australian Curriculum. With a variety of options available, a facilitated program with our Programming Officer will enhance learning outcomes, inspire student inquiry and enrich your visit.

The duration of each program is approximately 90 minutes, with a maximum of 28 students per session. The Booking Officer will provide a custom itinerary for large groups requiring multiple sessions and groups requiring adjustments for specific needs.

Facilitated programs are bookable Monday through Friday, Terms 1 to 4.

School admission prices
Up to 10 teachers and supporting adults are admitted free for each school group. Our staff will invoice your school on the day of your visit.

Plan and book your visit

Bookings are essential for all school group visits. Book as far in advance as possible to secure your preferred visit date and time.

Free visit for teachers

We invite teachers, early years educators and group supervisors to preview the museum free of charge prior to your visit to plan and prepare for your group's learning experience.

To redeem your free visit, simply show your teacher ID on arrival. Entry fees apply for family members and accompanying guests.
