Over three days, learn the fundamentals of the intricate craft of leatherplaiting under the expert guidance of Bill Webb.
Working with premium kangaroo leather, you’ll create either an 8-strand whip or a 13-strand belt.
Renowned for its exceptional strength and fine grain, kangaroo leather is highly prized by Australian leatherplaiters—it can be cut thin while remaining remarkably durable.
Bill Webb has been leatherplaiting for over 40 years. He started when he was just five years old and perfected his skill under the guidance of the late RM Williams. Bill is a four-time Dame Mary Durack Award Winner and took first and second places in the 2015 Australian Plaiting Championships.
