Coleoptera, Carabidae, Lebiini, Coptoglossus, new combination, new species, Australia, key to species
The Australian lebiine genus Coptoglossus Chaudoir is revised. Both recorded species, Coptoglossus sulcatulus Chaudoir and C. carteri (Sloane), are redescribed and the male and female genitalia examined and figured. Colpodes porphyriacus (Sloane) is transferred from Platynini to the lebiine genus Coptoglossus, and a new species Coptoglossus excisicollis sp. nov. is described. A key for the four species of the genus is provided.
