Abstract

Two new species of Charopidae are described from contrasting Queensland habitats. Lithocouperia kalkajaka gen. et sp. nov. lives among the granitic lithorefugia of Kalkajaka (=Black Mountain), Trevethen Range, NEQ. Reticularopa minjerribah gen. et sp. nov. chiefly inhabits the Blackbutt (Eucalyptus pilularis) and Scribbly Gum (Eucalyptus racemosa) sand-based, woodland communities of Minjerribah (=North Stradbroke Island), SEQ. A third species, ‘Gyrocochlea’ myora Stanisic, 2010 known only from a small patch of rainforest along the Myora-Dunwich Road, Minjerribah, SEQ is redescribed and reassigned to Chordaropa gen. nov. The use of protoconch microsculpture for determining generic units within the family is discussed.
