Street Art Jam is back - bigger, bolder and rolling into Ipswich with a full day celebrating the crossover between street art and skateboarding culture.

Rooted in self-expression, creativity, and community, this year's event brings together artists, skaters, and the public in an open, interactive space where walls and wheels collide.

Guiding the day’s action is Roman MC, local hip-hop artist, host, and freestyle performer. Roman will keep the energy flowing with live commentary, roving rhymes, and crowd interactions throughout the precinct.

Highlights include:

  • Pro Skate Demo – Watch some of Queensland's top skaters as they take on a custom-built ramp, rail setup, and half pipe. Expect high-energy tricks and serious skill, all amplified by live beats and commentary from Roman MC.
  • Art Onboard: Skate Deck Art Show – A visual celebration of skate culture, where artists transform skate decks into bold, original artworks that push the boundaries of board design and creative storytelling.
  • Skateboarding Workshops and Drop-In Sessions – Learn the basics in a safe, inclusive space with Chiggy’s Skateboarding, no experience required, just a willingness to give it a go.
  • Street Art Workshop Series – Get hands-on with the foundations of street art in a relaxed, welcoming space. No experience needed, just curiosity and creativity.
    • Skate Deck Art Workshop
    • Lettering
    • Beginner Aerosols
    • Zine Workshop
  • Jam Wall - Live Painting – Watch artists bring large-scale artworks to life across the day. From colour to detail, see their processes unfold in real time as murals transform public space into a living gallery.
  • The Community Wall – Feeling inspired? Add your mark to The Community Wall, a drop-in space for all ages to contribute to a collaborative mural. Artists will be on hand to offer tips and support as you draw, tag, or write your message into a growing expression of community creativity.

Come along to watch, create, ride, and connect. Family-friendly event, wheelchair accessible, and open to all ages. The event is free for Annual Pass holders - pre-booking is recommended.

Street Art Jam is delivered as part of SPARK Festival.
