The Tilt Train display and simulator have been revamped.

Step aboard a recreated electric Tilt Train car, learn about its development and operation, and take the driver's seat for a unique rail experience.

Since the Tilt Trains were introduced in 1998, they have travelled more than 7 million kms combined, roughly equivalent to 18.4 trips to the moon, and carried approximately 225,000 people annually.

The development of the Tilt Train represents a significant investment in innovation, creating vital transport services to support regional communities and tourism.

The expansion and upgrading of Queensland’s electric rail networks has been driven by efforts to continually improve safety and efficiency, in line with international progress.

Things to see and do:

  • Step aboard a recreated Tilt Train and learn how it works and is able to negotiate curves to maintain its speed.
  • Sit in the Tilt Train driver’s seat and get a driver’s-eye-view while giving your passengers travel announcements.
  • View stories about the development and operation of Queensland's Tilt Trains.
  • Learn about the electrification and expansion of Queensland's suburban network.
