Book in for our self-guided Museum Explorers program where students use a hands-on pack to investigate how our lives have changed or stayed the same over the last 100 years.

Program overview

In this self-guided program, students use our hands-on Museum Explorers packs to determine how life has changed over the last 100 years. All Museum Explorers packs contain a series of activity cards and a variety of tools and objects to support your group’s exploration of the museum.

Learning outcomes

Students will:

  • investigate how people lived in Australia in the past by interpreting objects and exploring the stories of people who lived and worked during this time
  • understand that objects help us remember stories from the past and tell the stories of the present
  • understand the importance of museums and their collections
  • use a range of communication skills to express ideas.
