Designed for children aged 3 to 8 years, but open to all ages
Olden Days Festival welcomes school children from the Darling Downs community to gain a glimpse into the past through investigating objects and interacting with artisans. With a focus on learning through experience and fun, children can explore the history of communication, cameras, transport and more. They will see demonstrations of blacksmithing, leatherplaiting, woodworking, lace making, glass work and whip cracking. There will also be sing-alongs with an entertainer.
This year, students will have the chance to explore the renewed National Carriage Collection and a display of olden days cars.
