Can I still buy food and drinks at the museum?
Yes. A selection of cold drinks and packaged snacks are available for purchase from the museum reception/shop. You will still be able to enjoy them in the Great Gallery.

Where can I get coffee or a meal nearby?
You can enjoy a coffee or a meal at the Flinders Street Wharves, located right next door.
We're excited to be working with Flinders Street Wharves to create a more connected cultural and tourism precinct for visitors to Townsville. Look out for temporary food options during special event and school holidays.

Can I bring my own food and drink into the museum?

What’s next for the café space?
The café space will remain in place for functions or events.

What else can I do at the museum?
There’s so much to explore! Don't miss the fun at Zap! Clank! Pow! or the newly opened Ghost Nets of Pormpuraaw exhibition. Make a day of it by enjoying the East End Boardwalk before or after your visit.
