By car

Queensland Museum Rail Workshops is just 40 minutes by car from the centre of Brisbane.

A temporary set down area for vehicles including taxis, coaches, school buses and minibuses is located in front of the museum Ticket Office.

Parking
Parking is available on North Street, North Ipswich to the left of the Ticket Office.

We recommend using the free museum car park, follow the signs when you arrive. Visitors are welcome to the set down area at the museum entrance if required to drop off visitors before parking in the museum car park.

From Brisbane or the east
Travel on the Ipswich Motorway and take the Warrego Highway. Take the Mt Crosby Road Exit and then follow the Cobb & Co Tourist Drive signs.

From Toowoomba
Travel on the Warrego Highway and take the Kholo Road Exit, then follow the Cobb & Co Tourist Drive signs.

From Warwick
Travel on the Cunningham Highway and take the Warwick Road Exit. Continue to the centre of Ipswich and then follow the Cobb & Co Tourist Drive signs.

Queensland Rail operates regular services from Brisbane’s Central station and Roma Street station to Ipswich.

The museum is located on the Westside Bus Company route 515. Transfer to route 515 at Stop A from Ipswich Station, Bell Street.

The museum bus stop is located 20m from the front entrance.
