There are not many parts of the world untouched by the arrival of AI. Much is promised about its benefits but can this be done without a cost to Country and Culture? This kind of technology needs to be fed and watered. Into it goes massive sets of data, which can impact the intellectual property of others. It also must be kept cool to function, and that can use a considerable amount of an often-scarce resource, water. How will this equation affect Indigenous people and their communities?
Are there potential ways to mitigate the risks for Indigenous communities so it could be used to support art, language, health and wellbeing? Join Rhianna Patrick and guests as they discuss AI’s Indigenous paradigm.
