Join our knowledgeable Mandarin speaking guides on a journey around the museum and uncover the fascinating stories behind some of our most treasured objects.

From the prehistoric dinosaurs of ancient Queensland to the cutting-edge technology of today, our museum is packed with wonders to explore.

Our free Mandarin Highlights Tour is designed to demonstrate the breadth of Queensland Museum Kurilpa’s collection, permanent exhibitions and public galleries – to be accessible for Mandarin speakers.

You’ll get up close and personal with some of the most incredible specimens from the natural world, explore stories from First Nations peoples who have called this land home for thousands of years, and uncover fascinating stories behind some of our most treasured objects.

The tours are free and bookings are required. The tour runs fortnightly on Saturdays, running from 11am – 12pm (bookings accepted until 11am).

Where is the meeting point?

Please meet our Museum Guide at the Level 2 Cloakroom 10 minutes prior to your session.

What is the tour duration?

The tour runs for approximately 45 minutes. This time varies depending on the group size, accessibility requirements, and questions. All efforts are made for the tour to be finished within 60 minutes maximum.

Physical Accessibility

The tour covers multiple floors of the museum, which are accessible via stairs, escalators and lifts. For a smoother experience, please contact us prior to your tour if anyone in your group needs lift only access. Please contact us on (07) 3153 3000 for further information.

Cancellation

Due to factors outside of our control, the tour may be cancelled with limited notice. All efforts will be made to notify ticket holders.
