Prep – Year 1
Science - Biological Sciences
Facilitated by museum staff
45 minutes per session, rotations for large groups will require a reset period.
Book in for our facilitated school program 100 Million Years Ago where students investigate a variety of prehistoric animals and learn about the field of palaeontology.
Students will embark on an exploration of the dinosaurs, ancient marine reptiles and ancient flying reptiles featured in the museum’s exhibitions. Students will become palaeontologists as they examine the external features of these animals to investigate what they ate, where they lived and compare them to animals living today. They will add this information to their data sheet and take it back to school, where they will design their own dinosaur mask.
See our Visit as a school page for information on visiting the museum and booking a group into a program.
