Digital Initiatives | 3D scanning

Major Queensland Museum project Digital Initiatives focuses on 3D scanning State Collection items from Cultures and Histories artefacts to Biodiversity and Geosciences specimens. With 1.7 million items in the State Collection, Digital Initiatives is on ongoing project to capture the depth and diversity of our collection, bringing the museum's hidden treasures to light. Collection items of all shapes, sizes and provenance including popular exhibition features will be 3D scanned and made accessible to researchers and the public using the museum's online portals.
