PRESENTED BY FUTURE MAKERS
A partnership between Queensland Museum and Shell's QGC business

Teachers and home educators of years P–6 are invited to register for a free Hands-On STEM professional development workshop, demonstrating a range of activities linked to the Australian curriculum.

This interactive workshop provides educators with unique and engaging student activities and resources, incorporating experimentation, creativity and real-world applications of STEM principals. Through hands-on demonstrations and fun activities, you will learn new ways to embed deep conceptual understanding and instill confidence in your STEM students.

Topics covered in this workshop include:

  • Features and needs for animal survival
  • Properties and use of materials
  • The physics of sound and communication
  • Using the design process in unique challenges

Workshops are designed and delivered by Queensland Museum’s expert education team. Participants will be provided with a range of free, exciting and useful curriculum-linked resources to take back to the classroom.

Afternoon tea is provided. A CPD Certificate will be sent to attendees following the delivery of the event.

We encourage registrations from student teachers as well as professionals working in the GLAM or cultural sectors.

For further information, email the Future Makers team futuremakers@qm.qld.gov.au.

Please note: This workshop will be hosted in person and will not be recorded.
