Continuing the celebration of World Science Festival Queensland in Townsville, join us at the museum from Tuesday 27 June - Saturday 1 July for electrifying school holiday fun that will spark curiosity and ignite young minds!
Big Bang Education present an energy-themed extravaganza - featuring captivating science shows and engaging workshops that are great for big and little kids alike.

$12 per child aged 3 years and over. Adults are free. Book your tickets online here.
Prepare to be amazed by science where the world of energy comes to life before your eyes. Explore the fascinating properties of light, sound, heat, elastic, movement, and chemical energy with the experts from Big Bang Education!
All shows contain the same whiz bang excitement and science fun however demonstrations and explanations differ for various age groups. You can cater your experience according to your child’s age:
10:30am. Ideal for kids aged 3-6 years old.
12pm & 1:30pm. Great for bigger kids aged 7 years and over.
Shows run for 45 minutes. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets do not include admission to the museum. Admission to the museum can be purchased upon arrival.

For those seeking a hands-on adventure, our daily drop-in workshops offer an opportunity to delve deeper into the transfer of energy. Kids can unleash their inner scientist and engage in exciting activities as they explore the principles of energy conversion.
No bookings required. Drop-in workshops but capacity is limited. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Workshops are free with museum admission.
