The remarkable journey of the museum’s Senior Curator of Maritime Archaeology, Dr Maddy McAllister, is chronicled in the latest release of the Aussie STEM Stars book, Shipwreck Detective.

At the tender age of 14, Maddy, already a certified SCUBA diver, attended a lecture in Busselton that would shape her future. Now, Dr Maddy McAllister has dedicated her career to unravelling the mysteries of maritime history at Queensland Museum Tropics, Townsville.

To celebrate the release, come along to the museum for a book signing and author reading with Dr Maddy McAllister. Also see never before seen artefacts from the maritime archaeology collection and have the opportunity to win a private back of house tour with Dr Maddy McAllister with the purchase of Shipwreck Detective.
