Volunteering for Students at the University of Queensland

Students enrolled with the University of Queensland have the unique opportunity to expand their skills and experience in STEM learning through a volunteering placement at SparkLab Sciencentre, at Queensland Museum.

This is a professional development opportunity which will see you:

  • Develop experience in engaging and supporting diverse learning audiences
  • Enhance understanding around STEM and inquiry-based learning models
  • Build confidence in applying your studies in a real-world environment

Queensland Museum also benefits from your service by being able to enhance the engagement and enjoyment by visitors to SparkLab and realise learning outcomes.

This opportunity requires a commitment to one (1) training session and a minimum of three (3) volunteering sessions. Sessions are 9:30 – 1pm or 12:30pm – 4pm.

Volunteering opportunities exist in the following blocks:

 

  • 19 September – 30 November 2022
  • 1 December 2022 – 23 January 2023 (excluding 25 December 2022 – 2 January 2023)
