A general visit to the museum is free. Additional experiences such as school programs, SparkLab, special exhibitions and events are optional and may incur a cost.

Payment Process for School Bookings

Queensland Museum is introducing a new deposit system for school group bookings. A deposit will be required to secure your booking and will be deducted from your final invoice. 14 days before your visit, after you confirm final student numbers (minimum 10 applies), we will send you the final invoice. These changes will help us reduce last-minute cancellations and ensure more schools can access our programs.

Plan and book your visit

Bookings are essential for school group visits. This is to ensure that our staff are available to meet and assist your group, and that you have access to exhibitions and experiences. Please book as early as possible.

Free visit for teachers

We invite teachers, early years educators and group supervisors to preview the museum prior to your visit to plan and prepare for your group’s learning experiences. As some exhibitions are ticketed, entry fees apply for family members and accompanying guests. Book online now to arrange your free entry.
